TRS's response is that there's basically room for nothing else in the 2014 housings. Their response to the projector itself was "it's a shame they used that projector in a 2014." It's essentially the same projector that is in the 2006 lexus is halogen headlight. They hooked me up with a set of STI-R clear lenses and sent me on my way. I will post some comparison shots and pictures of the projectors and their internals as soon as I am able. Also, there are no squirrel spotters in the projectors for those of you who were wondering.

Darn, that sucks... I trust TRS for their word. They helped me a ton with my last retro.

Here's a link to what can be achieved with these projectors using an STI-R clear lens and modifying the spacing a bit. The link also includes a somewhat rudimentary DIY.

Jake, are you asking about '10-'13 5G, or '14 5G? It'll be 2 different answers.
Here is a picture of the cutoff I achieved after about 10 minutes of messing around with the factory projector. I used spacers and the STI-R clear lens from TRS.

The headlight needs to be split to change the lens and add spacers correct? It might be worth based on that pic! Nice job, looks good.
Exactly. I am struggling with whether it's worth it. Also, the IS350 bi-xenon projectors will more than likely fit with some modifications, so I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to go that route.
Yeah, hard to justify all the work if it's not that big of a difference. I'm going to slap a HID kit in the stock projectors and see how I like it. If it's not up to par I'll probably end up doing the is350 retro. Thanks for taking the time to throw up these pics!

I can't imagine going to the effort involved in removing/reinstalling the headlights, and not doing (or having done) a retrofit to high quality HID projectors.
It's a shame that so many new car models are designed with projector-style headlights without offering an HID option.
Following this thread in hopes of learning if the '14 will accept a retrofit...

If you want a proper mating connectors you would need to go with XenonDepot H11 Xtreme Digital HID Conversion Kit.

My understanding is that on the '14, the Low Beam is also the Daylight Driving Light, just on a reduced voltage. If true, you either can't use your DL position or stay with halogens. Correct?

Wrong the high beam is the daytime running lamp.
