The Seat Click, maybe not the seat after all

So, I have the click. Happens when I turn, accelerate, stop and it clicks just once for each of these actions.

I can reproduce the click, precisely, by yanking on the door cross handle inside. But it doesn't make it stop...

The other suspect... The door sills. I have the Billet 4Runner branded ones. How are those held on? Could the torque of the body while driving be enough to cause them to stick down and then pop up making the click?

Have you checked the little anchor where the seat belt goes into the pillar? Mine is some loose and flimsy plastic, and will rattle as well.

I have that rattle too. That's a separate unidentified noise that occurs directly behind my left ear. I can't locate that one. I've pushed and pulled on everything while the problem is occurring and nothing makes it stop.

Most likely its your seat frame. Its a warranty issue. Just had mine replaced. It would do the same thing yours does, click everytime I accelerate, brake turn, etc... Take it to the dealer.

MY seat frame came in today, getting it replaced next Wednesday.

I have the same problem! Do you know how much the fix was? I think i'm out of warranty with an '06 and 41,000 miles.

Hey Georgia-4Runner - I had a similar problem in my '08 Bugatti Veyron. It was about $4,500 to get it fixed, hope this helps!

I was looking at getting one of those but they got bad MPG.
