The THINGS YOU WISH THEY MADE thread

Okay, these are a few things I WISH they made for the 3rd Gen 4RN.

A bolt on rear spoiler

A center dash with the smart radio at eye level

A folding roof rack 3/4 size. where the sides fold up when you need them and fold down when you don't so you can park in parking garages.

A snap on aerodynamic bumper cover for off road bumpers so you don't loose the mpg when on the highway.

probably a lot more... what do you wish they made?

Oh gosh, where do we start?

A removable sleeping platform for people taller than 6 ft.

Performance intake manifolds

Performance, high flow heads with oversized valves

Underdrive accessory pulleys

Long-tube headers

A TUNABLE ECU

That's my short list anyway.

An actual frame coating. These tin cans rust even if you throw table salt at them.

My frame is fine.

Yeah, I live in NC, but I’ve been to the beach, and in a shit load of brachish and muddy water a few times, and don’t have an issue with it.

Maybe PM has something to do with it?

The frame does have a coating. It would be nice to have a zinc galvanized dipped + extra coated frame but no manufacturer does that.

I blasted and hot dipped my front and rear bumpers. I love it, super tough finish but it was a pain. It will mess up any internal threads unless you red lock tight in a bolt to protect the treads and any sealed spaces have to be drilled out or they can explode during the dipping process. I might do my frame at some point.

I'm still hoping someone will design a Scangauge holder that replaces the flip down sunglasses holder.

i would add that it can either hold a scangauge or a small ham or CB radio.

we have the ashtray mod for one radio, but so many times i feel the need to run both ham and cb.

I took the back cover off my scan gauge. Drilled some small holes in it. Then with some shims to angle it towards drivers side. Screwed it to the cover. Ran a flat cable through the back, across roof to apiller. Still have full function of holder.
