low end is where it improved the most. i'll be counting the days until i need a new clutch :reddance:

I don't know if this is really a update...but whatever
There are 2 car companies that i really like. first is obviously Toyota and the second is Volkswagen/Audi. I think the key for the mk4+ VW's are pretty sweet so i decided to make one work on the 4Runner.
I bought a key on ebay and got key blade for the 4Runner cut.
Here is the VW key
The main blade is held in with a roll pin
Here is the key disassembled with the VW blade on the left and the 4Runner blade on the right
Basically all i did was grind down the 4Runner blade until it matched the VW one.
The first one ended up being a little too short so i ran to Home Depot and had them cut me a new one.
Here is the finished product
As you can see, the 4Runner blade is longer than the VW one so i had to trim a little out of the key fob.
I know you can buy the switchblade keys for 4Runners on ebay but i think this is cooler. plus no one will guess that the VW key on my keychain actually starts my 4Runner
I haven't figured out exactly how i am going to put the alarm remote in the VW key but it will happen soon.

Minor updates.
I sold the TJM so i currently have been bumperless for a little while. New one is on the way though.
I got the Lotusbuilt LCA mount skids
And then went to Moab to try and break something.
Up next will be the bumper, winch, and a new clutch since i pretty much deep fried it while in Moab

you are not gonna do the standard hoops are ya?
I have seen the hoops in person and they are a little ... interesting....
Like the bumper, but IMHO I think you should get a custom hoop...
