Howdy y’all.
I figured it was about time I start my own build/adventure thread as I’ve finally started to accumulate mods and photos.
First off, I ordered a 2014 Classic Silver Trail with KDSS in September 2013. It was finally delivered in March of 2014. Almost 6 months later.
Here she is, bone stock (and still is for the most part).

My plans for this truck are pretty mild. I don’t do any heavy off-roading, but I do enjoy going to the beach, exploring the backroads, and towing my toys to the trails for two-wheeled races and adventures. All and all, this will be my escape vehicle for weekend activities and overland travels.

I hesitate to call any of these modifications, but they do make the 4runner more livable, so I'm going to list them here in case someone else is looking for something similar. They're also all on the cheaper end... Free - $150

Post window tint and wash:

I went with 30% Huper Optik based on recommendations from this board and a few others. It was pricey, but I can FEEL the difference. Also, it keeps prying eyes easily glancing into the truck.

Plasti-Dipped Bumper Covers and Fender Flares:

I really liked a lot of the styling ques from the 10-13 model years, and was a little disappointed they didn't carry over. So, I did it myself.

It's all a little rough now, and I've removed the fender flare dipping due to and F150's inability to move from it's parking space safely (side swiped me). I'll most likely go vinyl next go round. I just need to wait till it's a little cooler. 100+ degree heat is not fun to work in.

After dipping, I updated the interior lights with LED's.

When I first saw people doing this, I couldn't help but wonder why it was needed. Seemed like a waste of 25 dollars. Then I started noticing how much trouble I was having find items in my center console at night. This mod was made shortly after that realization, and now I don't have that problem anymore.

My first offroad mod came in the form of step sliders from shrockworks. I'll have a better photo uploaded once I get the truck cleaned up.

I chose the handle "The Waco Kid" for a few reasons. One being I love Mel Brooks films. The other reason would be for where I went to school.

Back on topic slightly:

I use the truck to take me places where I can use these to their full potential. Which often means a two and half hour drive away from Houston, if not more.

It's been a while since I've added anything here.

Since purchasing the vehicle, I've spent more (mostly insurance money) on repairs to body work than actual modifications or goodies. This is hands down the most unlucky car I've ever owned... Comes with the territory I guess. Houston Drivers suck.

Anyways... I added an SPOD in November'15, and wired in AOB factory style switches. I plan to run my spots, air compressor, and some form of wheel arch lighting off this thing, with the possibility of additional lighting in the future.

From there, I added two spotlights from auxbeam to the front grill. They were a gift (A nice one at that), but I plan on remounting them on roof-rack once I get around to buying that... possibly late next year. Wheels and tires come first.

Finally got around to installing my onboard air set up.

I intalled with suggestions and tips from several other forum contributors, namely [MENTION=78273]Jeremy556[/MENTION], [MENTION=121223]kboxvegas[/MENTION], the ̶o̶n̶e̶ two post wonder [MENTION=87808]Photovogel[/MENTION], and [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] because through him, all mods are possible.

I was a pretty easy mod to do. Everything feels solid, and the fact that the compressor is no longer taking up cargo space or screaming STEAL ME from the back of the truck makes it worth it.

So I took the plunge and ordered a set of T4R.ORGs uniform of choice: Matte Black FN Konig Countersteer wheels... AKA [MENTION=104049]marshal[/MENTION]'s favorite, totally original choice of wheel.

I've wanted a set ever since I saw [MENTION=8206]harper7[/MENTION] put them on his rig way back when, and I've been hooked ever since. I considered the newer Fivestar's, but I couldn't get over it being a 5 spoke wheel with a 6 lug pattern (it bothered the accountant in me).

They probably do this for everyone, but the fact Dustin and Co are throwing in a set of Black lugnuts and a T-Shirt with my order is a nice touch.

I'll add pics as soon as they ship and once I've got them mounted. It's going to be a few weeks.

Well after a bit of confusion from the fellas at my neighborhood discount tire, I had my FN Countersteer Type X wheels wrapped in Cooper ATP LT265/70/17 mounted. (I ordered P rated Falken Wildpeak A/T3Ws...they either never came in, or were sold by mistake)

Lighting wasn't the best, and I am no photographer...

I've got a little rub on the lip of the front driver side fender. Will require trimming

And a little on the passenger front side mudflap. A session with the heat gun will cure this one.

Rear springs and front bumpstops were delivered this morning, with the rear shocks to be shipped some time this week... I hope.
