The worst part about having 4 Runner in the snow.

We've not gotten as much snow here in Minnesota as in years past. But I've never seen much flying off people's cars. I believe that people park in their garage whenever possible. When I got my 4Runner on Monday, this was a bit more of a squeeze next to the wife's Honda Odyssey. I'd like to rearrange the garage and maybe get rid of some things, but the weather refuses to warm up.

I've seen dash cam videos of snow/ice sliding off the top of trucks and smashing people's windshields. Not good.

Yet another reason I'm glad I don't live where it snows.

If you're too lazy to clean the snow and ice off the roof, build something like a DuraSweeper.

Why take a chance you'll kill someone and lose everything you own.

Or an extendable 48" brush from Walmart or the auto parts store for $10. Skip lunch one day and splurge on something useful. It takes 5 minutes to clean a foot of snow off a 4Runner. Side to side, push-pull. And that includes the hood.

tarp over vehicle paint is not good. using a sheet of 6 mil plastic clean will work most times because it will not stick.

the tarps are not smooth and will scratch the paint esp if you have 500LBS of heavy wet snow crushing down on the surface.

We get a lot of snow down here where I live. If I know we are going to get 6-12 inches that night i just throw a plastic tarp over the truck. Next morning I just pull it off and all the crap slides off it.

tarps are made of plastic with webbing to re-enforce .. not good on paint.

paint shops use plastic sheets made of soft plastic no webbing .. I guess I did mess up not properly explaining this to people that are not familiar with the differences in the products .

plastic to use is on a roll not the kind folded up with eye lets.

but each their own use the tarp on your ride NOT ME,,.

I had the same issue, If you just connect the positive and negative battery cables to the side of the frame rails directly you can mod your truck into the whole body being heated!

As someone who has eaten a sheet of ice that came off of opposing traffic, thanks for cleaning your rigs. I was fortunate that my steering wheel caught the brunt of it, but my truck was down for 3 months.

1. The over confidence gained from being in a such a superior vehicle.

If you cant clean the snow off your roof from in between the roof rack you're just being fat and lazy.. get an acura mdx and find a minivan forum to troll, you slob

You'll also need a ladder mounted to the rear hatch, so you don't have to take one out from the garage.
