First this happened:

And then of course this happened. FML:
That nut and stud was the first one I torqued. I checked a few specs and non-elocked diffs said 54 ft/lbs. The first one snapped before that without any warning. I tried one more before I called bullshit and just torqued then by feel. I'm pretty sure I would have broken every one with that torque spec.
Once the rtv dries and I can get a left hand bit I'll get that snapped stud out. I also need to get to the dealer and get some studs, washers, and nuts. I'm thinking of replacing the whole system. It's probably fine but I just don't like how easily that thing snapped.
