I always just thought it was because they were red?? Thats why I got mine :shrug:
 
Finally wired up the winch to the battery and installed the rope. Pup thinks its a long leash and is ready for a 'walk'.

Cut a small notch so the solenoid would fit where Warn intended, using their bracket.

For any who even mildly off roads I strongly suggest doing the Rear Diff Breather. The shop that installed the Air Locker asked if I was a U Boat Commander in a previous life. They extended it for without me even asking - for my own good.

Yikes. I wonder how much it would run me to have it looked at. I did have the diff oil changed ~15K miles ago, and I didn't get a comments back from the dealer about the oil they swapped out being dirty or having water in it.

Your diff looked ok when I had it. The only time you get the "chocolate milksahake" is if you're sitting in water for a period of time. Raising the breathers is really only necessary if the axles are completely submerged and you're not moving. If you're slowly driving through, it's usually ok. But it never hurts to change the fluid after any type of wheeling.
 
I almost always defer to experts as I'm of big fan of professionals who know 1000x more than me (not really that hard to do with most issues) but....I can say with 100% certainty that my axles have never been completely submerged while not moving.

Yes, there were more than a few water crossings but always moving as I have always known about the stock diff breather. No disrespect Bobby :cheers:
 
My runner came with a free (3rd party) lifetime power train warranty from the dealership. I want to raise mine up but I'm sure if something did happen they would balk and blame me even though I really am doing them a favor.
