Them Be Me Mods

No but I'll take one at some point. For the bumper I think you would still want on to be lower - about the same height as the OEM.

Hi Philly2d, Do you have a pic of the viewing angle on the display with the high-rear cam? MeBe4running is going to be VERY interested in that!

Okki

He sure is! :thanks:

Thats is what I have been contemplating. I remember back with the 2007 range rovers, they mounted the back up camera up in the spoiler not to dissimilar to what you've done. I was thinking just to splice into the stock back up camera as I will be keeping my bumper/tire gate etc... on the whole time. Then its a pretty straight forward mod. Though for those who have the bumper and what to keep the stock.... I wonder if you could get a two way splitter as far as inputs and run it through the nav/ mirror screen. I am sure it can be done?

Lets just call it a Modette but I still consider it pure genius. NoLoss Tire Valve Cap from Sierra Expeditions for about $ 20 shipped. For our trucks we can't use the brass version.

Never let it be said that I don't listen to good advice. Icon Lower Shock Shin Guard Stainless Steel. I'm painting them black just for looks.

Why can't we use the brass version?

IMPORTANT NOTE:
No Loss Caps can only be used on brass valve stems. Do not use on aluminum valve stems such as those equipped with TPMS, if your vehicle has aluminum valve stems please select the 5-pack plastic caps in the drop down above before adding to your cart.

"Many vehicles today are equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). The integrated valve stem/pressure sensor is the most common type of TPMS assembly. These valve stems are all made of aluminum. An aluminum or plastic cap must be used with this type of valve stem to prevent a galvanic reaction and corrosion between the cap and the valve stem. To avoid damaging sensors, always use either a plastic or aluminum valve cap with aluminum TPMS valve stem assemblies."

Where'd you see that warning at?

EDIT: Nevermind; just found it at Sierraexpeditions where I bought mine. .shrug. They've been riding fine for months.

DOUBLE EDIT: Just did some quick research on how important it was to not have two different kinds of metal tightly wound together under stress in this case... I read two stories of guys who had them fused to their valve stems, so it looks like I'll be switching them out! Damn you and bless you in the same breath, phillyd2!

I think they say that it takes about 6 months before your tires explode into a mass of molten rubber which would start off a chain reaction that could end all life as we know it. But you know how 'they' are.

Is it me or do those wheels sit really close to your brake calipers? Discount recently test fitted a set of Black Rhino wheels on my truck and they wouldn't clear the calipers so they're ordering a +12 offset. Any problems with your wheels, and what offset did you get?
