Them Be Me Mods

Ya I'm leaning this way too as the bumps do make a nice step. I searched briefly for pics of the straights but no luck yet, guess peeps are only buying the bumps.

Anyhow off to find part #'s for the rear door overmolding for the TE. Does anyone know if the door moldings line up with the rear fender overmolding on the Limited or do I need to also buy the rears?

Search Harper7 or Okki's threads for those part numbers. Okki had to change both front and rear.

inCarBite Ipad Holder. Not much to say but it works and seems well made.

RotopaX on Gobi Sunroof Insert
Four 2 Gallon Gasoline Packs which will give me over 100 miles of extra range.
The Universal Mounting Plate is perfect for this application but I did get shorter screws as the ones supplied are way too long. As it is now the shorter screws don't go past the cross bar.

I like that its permanently mounted but not to the truck.

I actually only replaced the front fender flares when I switched to TE rocker panels. The rear door overmoldings have a rubber seal at the bottom and the straight cutoff does not look out of place so I just left them.

Thanks Okki,

Ya I had looked through your build and saw you left the doors as is. I ordered the BB-BO partial tread on monday, have not ordered the body parts yet but will go with the front overmolding and rocker then decide weather to do the doors or not.

Thanks everyone for the input it's much appreciated :bigok:

@Philly,

Sorry to muck up your build thread with my decision making process.

Nice set-up! Are you planning an expedition somewhere? Or just wanna support your local search and rescue and get lost? :wink2:

Friends are always welcome in my house. :cheers:

Actually I do but please don't ask for details as its just a crazy dream right now that lives mostly in saved bookmarks and a separate folder on my hard drive. :cool:

Well TYVM :cheers:

And ya I have that same folder, I've had it for so long it's now in its forth computer. LOL It contains the crazy dream expedition, which will probably never happen, and the cross country excursion which is going to be happening soon. :thumb3:

Trust me that I have been trying to order some but they said some clown bought them all to line his cargo area with them. Crazy, huh? :hello:

id say about the only thing this truck really needs is bigger tires!

that and i wish the 4th and 5th gen came in a stick.....

great build very tasteful

great build, i love it. its the little things and attention to detail that i love about this rig. when i first saw it, i instantly knew something wasn't "right" about it -it was the LE -TE swap, and wow, it really made your rig "pop". you have now made me want a 5th gen, thanks now i get to try and tell that to the wife...

Rigid LED Lights

Originally had the PIAA 2192 2100X Xtreme White lights but honestly they were not much brighter than the stock High Beams so.....

At first I wanted four 6" Rigid LED Lights but not having the Gobi customized for these lights I had trouble correctly fitting two 6" in the middle with the bracket so I went with a 10" there. The two 6" Driving lights were donated to the Get the Insect Home Safely Foundation.

10" = Spector Driving
6" = Rigid was kind enough to custom build them with Wide reflectors.

A special thanks to Bobby (Duc) for putting up with me during the ordering / shipping process.

The switch finally lives of to its name

I added a few pics of how I mounted mine on the stock Gobi incase any are doing the same. If you have not yet ordered the rack and want these lights I strongly suggest having Gobi customize the rack.

Two PIAA 2192 lights were moved to the rear where they are more than enough.

Before anybody asked how bright they are, the pics were taken at 11 pm on a moonless night.
