Hi everyone. I am new to T4R.org but have been on tacomaworld.com for a good while. I recently sold my Tacoma and bought a 4Runner so I am changing my home Forum too.
Here is a picture of my sold Tacoma. Bilstein 5100's at .85", FJ wheels with 265/70/17 hankook dynapro MT, CB, plastidipped grill, reverse lights, and a few other random mods.
My new truck is a 1999 4Runner 5 speed, 4WD, E-Locker with ~173,000mi. I was trying to find one with lower miles but, DAMN, these things are hard to find.
Since I got it I have done a few things:
Things I have the parts for but have not done yet:
Are there any other maintenance issues I need to address that I have not done yet? I think I should be up to par now, but Y'all know the ins and outs of these trucks. Thanks!
Doing the shocks, LBJs, and OTREs

Since I got it I have done a few things:
- New shocks all around
- OEM LBJs and outter tie rod ends
- New sway bar bushings
- New Steering Rack Bushings
- New Fuel Filter
- Adjusted throttle cable. WOW that made a big difference
- Sythetic gear oil in diffs, Transmission was done by previous owner recently
- Plastidipped the chrome part of the "fender flare"
- Scion 1809 headunit swap with Ipod cable
- cobra 75 CB with outdoor logic antenna mount
Things I have the parts for but have not done yet:
- 2012 Trail Edition 4runner wheeels. They need to be repainted and I am thinking about going with a gunmetal color
- Timing Belt kit, all OEM or Japanese stuff
Are there any other maintenance issues I need to address that I have not done yet? I think I should be up to par now, but Y'all know the ins and outs of these trucks. Thanks!
