I was thinking about buying this navigation off a guy in my neighbor hood who is trading in his car. He said the person he bought it from said that it came out of a 2006 solara. That would mean e7001 right? But it's not. And it say's it was mfg in 2002 on the sticker. Would this be worth trying to install in the 4runner? Thanks for any input!

I had that one for a while in my 4Runner. I bought it on eBay from someone who made up the wiring to get it to work with non JBL 4runner. Toyolexnavspec was the seller I think. Everything worked great except for the steering wheel controls, either the solara (or whatever car it came out of) doesnt have steering wheel controls, or they use a different two wire plug (thats what the seller told me, and he didnt know how to get them working either).
Unless you are getting it free I would pass on it because you may need to spend some money making it work (new updated maps, steering wheel controls, wiring to adapt to 4runner or JBL)

Ya that's what I figured. Too bad though, I'd love to be able to have a factory one. Thanks for the info!
