Bad idea for a vehicle like this..It would do more harm than good The engine is designed to run efficiently and have proper clearances at a specific temp. You don't want to change that.
I've found lower t-stats to be generally useless except for one or two specific short duration racing scenarios.
If you are drag racing and have a manual fan switch to cool things down a bit in the pits before a run... you can maybe get away with a bit more boost, timing... with a lower t-stat. Another one is a street/hwy racing scenario where you hold a steady low load just before a hard pull. Not that I have ever done that ;-) Point is... you would never do any of these things in a t4r.
Leave it alone!
