Thinking about Painting my Stock Rims

Chrome is a poor taste.

I have a 2007 SR5 & I have chrome handles, grill & rear garnish...it is so ugly.

Good thing my truck is Titanium Metallic, so it hides it better. If you ever seen a 2006+ SR5 in Black, Galactic Grey or Shadow Mica, the chrome hecka stands out, ubber ugly. And SR5 has the ghey black mirrors. Man...they should have just made it all body color.

Haha, Murdered out is "trendy" tho.

I kinda dig leaving the nuts chrome and going black with everything else.

Does anyone have a good resource for me to find a matching black to the body color?

When I use to work at Wheel Works on Franklin/Bush, we always worked w/ the people at Don's Auto Body.

When I saw their finished cars, they were gorgeous!!

They are expensive though, but I would go there w/o a doubt.

However I haven't yet, because I butt heads w/ my dad & he chooses to go to his buddy's shop. Results show the quality of their work. I'm sure you know what that means.

Good Call. I don't have airbrushing equipment...seems like I should be able to do this with high quality spray paint with a few coats, right?

I disagree, I wheel mine and painting mine was the something I am totally happy with. I picked up some FJ wheels that had some rock rash already, sanded them down and hit them with some rattle can. When I wheel it they do get messed up, but then I just mask them off and touch them up. Good as new!

I figure after some time I will completely repaint them but for the time being they still look great. It looks a lot better than my stock wheels with a bunch of rock rash, which was the alternative.
