Thinking about selling.... Help

My wife and I are thinking about selling the 4R. Not very excited about it, but we need to sell it. I have 2011 limited 10k miles, 4x2, navigation, rear sliding and its Pearl white. I got offers of 32 and 34. what should I be expecting to get for it? Help is appreciated. Im thinking 35.

You should do better than 32-34k, I have seen them going for 36-37K here in Houston with your specs and mileage.

IMO, $34K is a great price. Take it. In all honesty you're the one selling a 2011 vehicle that you've switched your choice of. I thinking its not paid off or you would keep it and not really care about the $34?

What did you pay for it? How much are you willing to loose? Better do it now before the 12's come out. If you wait too long, yours will drop in value a bit more very soon.

I've got a 2011 LE and I paid $36k out the door (taxes, title, registration) so if you can get anything around $34-35k you're lucky. I'd take the offer of $34k and be happy.......as someone mentioned, with the 2012's rolling out next month, you're value is gonna depreciate so take what you can get or........see if Toyota has a buy back program for past customers, you might break even or come close to earning some incentives/money back through the dealership (might being the key word).

Market specific, I guess, but the shortage here in TX is getting worse, not better. Used 2010s and 2011s are selling for almost new prices, and dealers here are not discounting much, if any, on new LEs.

This is what I've been told here in AZ. I went in for my 10K maintenance and asked them to give me a number if they wanted it. I own it outright (2011 LTD loaded) and really fell out of love with it. They said they'd write me a check for $35 and I never tried to negotiate.

I've got $32 in cash and an '04 Tundra with an awful Carfax into it. I haven't caved in yet. I have to drive 4,000 miles in the next couple of weeks and I think we're going to take my wife's new CR-V. It's better on gas, just as comfortable, and more fun in the mountains.

The last cross country trip I did with the 4Runner in July I had lots of wind on the first day. Fighting that goddamned SUV for 12 hours left me completely drained.

Obviously check KBB.com and NADA.com to have a rough idea of what your truck is worth. You shouldn't lose too much money, especially if you are just trading for a different Toyota. Good luck!

Edit: Our 4runners aren't on either one of those sites right now. Try to make all your money back, someone would have a tough time telling you it isn't worth 35K.

Im not sure if anyone noticed that this is a 4x2 which makes it worth less as a 4Runner IMO. I'd take the 34K offer in a heart beat.

4x2 are more popular here in Central Florida then 4x4, for the obvious reasons. Not a lot of need for the 4 wd here. Yea, values are area specific.

I agree, what I was trying to say is that 4x2s are cheaper than 4x4s, period. And it looked as if folks were basing their suggestions off of a 4x4 model, that's all.

But I know what happens when I assume...

What I did not clarify is that it was 34-35 trade in. I will also get my gap and extended warranty back. I will lose a few k, but put 10k miles on it. Im thinking when i go in I can get them up to 35-35.5k. These things are hot right now and im going to cash in on it. This is my wifes daily driver and the new camry looks pretty badass and with the hybrid we will be using like 1.5 gallon for her round trip per day instead of 3 to 4. Also in Central FL I could have got a 4x4 and not used it but i opted out of spending an extra 2k on something that I will prob never use. I have no complaints from the 4Runner except the crappy navigation system and if it made financial sense to keep it we would.

my dealer called me in to look at the new camry last night. Not that bad looking. Deff not anywhere near as badass as the 4R, but cost wise it is. They have this new color called cypress pearl which is pretty cool. It has a touchscreen radio that isnt the navi system which i like (toyota navi sucks.) it has push start with the smart key. Rims look alittle small with the wheel wells but that can be fixed. Overall, I think we may buy one next week.

You have a couple of months for model year '12. As stated earlier, prices here in AZ are equal and sometimes higher for used vs new. I just bought mine new and couldn't touch a used one for the price I paid new. Market pricing will vary, but I would think your in the right place for 2wd and I would think the offers you got were a little low.
