Thinking about selling. What's it worth.

I think I am going to sell the car I bought for my ex wife. I love it but I am remodeling my house and the money would def be nice.

98 SR5 w/ 148k
4-5k on new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, all new good year belts
5-speed
4 wheel drive
factory premium sound w/ sony explode amp and P10 integrated
tinted front windows
tow package
as far as I can tell it has all the options except it's a 5 speed and cloth interior.
also has running boards
toyota brush guard

What do you think I should ask for it?

Sounds about right. 5speed will bring the price down some. I was just in the market for a 4runner in san diego.

Also post over on yotatech and actually among the off roading guys a 5 speed is coveted. From what i've seen is most Runners of the same year sell around the same prices whether they have a 5 speed/auto,diff lock or not.

Realistically you'll probably get closer to $7k unless you also replaced the suspension in the last 40k miles since that really helps a resale since that is something that's kinda tired by 148k miles.
