Thinking About Super Charging

I thinking about super charging my 4runner. How much would a cheap kit cost? Where should I order it? And could the installation be done at home?

I'd like a kit that would be fairly easy to install.

ummmmm, not trying to be DB but......

With 17 posts you should know where the search button is. Lots of info on this site. Looking for "easy", try hooking up a bottle of NOS.

I had 155k on mine when I put the blower on...works great at removing the carbon deposits from the motor :)

Got 166k now and it runs like a champ, don't let the high mileage police here scare you away.

Nice man. Did you install it yourself? Can a noob like me install it? The most work I've done in my car is change it's oil.

Is it one of those if you can change the oil you can do it?

instructions - note your vacuum routing before taking it apart.

Probably, budget 12 hours if you are totally new to things. Think about when the dealer is open if you need parts too (Sunday is not a good day to work on cars I've learned). I'd start Friday afternoon, so you can be wrapped up by dealer closing on Sat.

I did mine with a parts run, valve cover cleaning and seals in a half day, but I had help.
