I went back to the brand new BFG A/T KO2's and let me tell you this tire is 100% better in every way from the old version. Take a close look, and you will notice many changes in the new BFG. This new tire has an unbelievable amount of grip ON Road as well as off road. When aired down a little bit the tire really comes to life. I have had them in the fresh snow, wet rain and the dry Nevada deserts along with the sand dunes. If you want an aggressive all terrain tire that actually works this is it! I swore I would never go back to bfg until they figured out their ultra hard compound and crappy on road grip issues. Well, its fixed and there is grip a plenty.

I decided to go with the General Grabber AT2's. For the look, tread and price I found in my area. These could not be beat. In my humble opinion...

Excellent.

If you ever find the need for a great long lasting overall AT tire, the Michelin LTX AT2's should get strong consideration. A bit more expensive than most but Costco usually helps take some of the hurt away.

I just went through the process myself. It was between cooper at3, atp, st maxx, and duratracs. One thing I learned while shopping was to avoid the stock 265/65 size, as it costs more. the 265/70 was always much cheaper when shopping. Since I did a lift at the same time, I went with 255/75 as that was the absolute cheapest at 150 a tire for the duratrac. After discount bought back my crappy falken rocky mountains I was just over 100 per tire, which was too good to pass up considering in the other sizes the duratrac ran about 200. I also like the fact these have the snowflake on them, saves me from getting snow tires for the few snow storms we get here in utah. So far, I really like the duratrac. I was told to rotate them about every 3000...they are a tad noisier than other tires, but I'm ok with that...keeps my kids asleep in the car. My next choice was the st maxx but they are much more expensive so I almost pulled the trigger on the at3. You can't argue with their reviews or price.
