OK...I went and test drove the 4Runner Trail edition and a FJ. I really liked all the 4Runner gadgets and buttons.....very nice. It did sit a bit higher than the rest and was really smooth off road. The suspension felt a bit stiff on the hwy but it doesn't bother me. I did not like the lack of acceleration. Like it was holding back to keep fuel consumption at a minimum. Now if you floored it, it was ok. Also, the FJ actually had more headroom than the 4R in the back seat. I guess because of the sunroof. The acceleration was better in the FJ but maybe because its a little lighter. As of today, if money wasn't an option it would be a tough call. However, being that money is an option....I am leaning towards the FJ. Now.....if I can only find a 6MT......that will be the final deciding factor!!!!
