Hate to sell such an awesome vehicle...

Let me tell you how good of a truck this thing has been. My wife drives it, and she's proficient at driving a 5 speed.
I used to work at Toyota Technical Center (TTC), in Ann Arbor, MI. At that company, many employees lease a Toyota for 1 year (or up to 3 years, but most only lease for 1 year). At the end of the lease, the vehicle is returned to TTC and put on a list of vehicles to be bought by any TTC employee. If its not bought at that time, it is returned to the local Toyota dealer to be sold. At the same time, any vehicle that is being leased is put on a TTC public list and if an employee wants a certain currently leased vehicle when its turned back in to TTC, than any employee can 'tag' a vehicle.
Because my wife loves a manual tranny as much as me, we eyeballed this list for a long time. Only 1 manual 4Runner showed up on the list and for 2001 model year, Toyota discontinued building V-6 manual transmissions. So we got one of the last V-6 manuals. I got to know the guy who leased it and he loved manual trans vehicles too. Anyway, my wife and I tagged it and when he turned it in, we got first dibs on it since we had it tagged. A couple other dudes tried to pick it up after it got turned in, but I had dibs, hehehe.
The point is, the guy that had it before me had it serviced by the dealer about 3 times. I'm not sure if the dealer ever replaced the spark plugs, but since then, here is a list of things done to it.
Oil and oil filter changes every 5,000 miles (even though the book says 7,500 miles). Air filter changes as per the book. I can't remember the mileage spec on that off hand. Wash the outside and clean the inside. That's it.
Most all of the miles are highway miles since we were living in MI and my wife was going to her mom's house in GA. I have interstate driven this truck enough times to give you real mpg figures. Cruising at 65 mph with no AC yield 25.5 mpg. Believe it or not, I have no reason to exaggerate. Cruising 78 mph with the AC on, this thing gets somewhere between 20.5 and 21.5 mpg. At 70 mph, its gets about 22.5 mpg or so. We have always been happy about that. My brother had a '96 auto tranny, and his best interstate mileage was about 17 mpg. Around town, our 4Runer consistently gets in the 20's, its never been below, that I've measured.
It is on its original tires, the front end has never been re-aligned. Its been THAT good. It does not pull to the left or right. I have 3 young sons now (adding the 3rd is the reason we need to sell this 4Runner and get a minivan, geez) and I have no problem with them riding on these tires. However, its about due for new tires of course. If I have to replace them, I'll use the same Goodyears, or another kind I've decided on from tirerack.
It is on its original brakes. The only times the wheels have been off has been when I rotated wheels and tires myself. Its not had the 1st flat tire.
There has never been one non-stock item added to it. There has never been one stock item removed. If this thing were properly detailed, it would look darn near a new 4Runner (except that its the previous generation). Its is totally stock and has no cheesie aftermarket crap.
I have the service manual for it, just in case it ever needed anything, and I could do it myself. It has not had 1 single break-down of any kind. The buyer will receive the service manual.
Oh I forgot, my grandmother-in-law did back into the rear bumper on the LH corner and left a tennis ball diameter divot. I had that repaired in less than a week. There are no dents, dings, or scratches. It is silver in color and garage kept. The paint still shines and when cleaned, the paint combined with the chrome of the front & rear bumpers, and the accent on the running boards provide excellent bling bling.
It has the light blue fabric interior, it looks nice. The interior is not perfect. There are a couple stains on the carpet in the rear (kids), nothing that a detailer couldn't get out. There are no rips or tears in any interior material. It has power windows & locks and power moonroof. They all work well. The AC is ice cold. The windows are tinted (stock) except for the typical no tinting on the driver and passenger front windows. I can have that fixed for fiddy bucks at the trim shop in town that does top notch work. They will either add a legal level of tint, or deeper tint to match the rest of the windows, buyers choice.
All this being said ... I will not be trying to get top dollar out of this 4Runner. I could probably get more money for it by putting in on ebay ... I'm not real sure though. All I want to get is a fair price on it and I'll be happy.
