Thinking of selling one of the 4runners...Should I...?

Now that I have it running like it should I'm thinking of selling it..Should I leave the OME 880/906 Bilstein setup on it or swap it out with the suspension from my other 97 that I plan to build? Will it help me much to leave it on there or hurt me more to pull it off? The other 97 has a RC 3" lift on the rear and some quick-strut somethings up front...I like the lift height of my other 97, it would be nice with some 255/85's, but it might be a while before I can go the Tundra TRD/LC 7 route. I don't want to keep the RC lift on it long term. So, keeping the OME for now sounds like a plan. Just don't want to shoot myself in the foot when I try to sell it. What would be a fair asking price for my anthracite 97, 280K, rear mount turbo, new vc gaskets,cam plugs, all new fluids, plugs, wires, new oem lbjs, new oem inner and outer tie-rods, poly sway bar bushings, poly steering rack bushings, etc... I know that is a subjective question, so just a ballpark figure would help. Thanks.

My guess is low end $3500, and high end $8k. Subjective part is finding someone who knows what they are looking at. The 280k is going to be hard for buyers to get past. Looks like your in Alabama so no rust should be a good selling point.

What the least you'll take for it? (My dad used to build trailers and his frequent buyer always asked this, he'd but them and do some finish work to resell.)

Disclaimer here; I'm new to 4Runners, bought a 4th gen but am considering the 3rd gen because I like the older Toyota styling, should have never let my 88 Chevy Nova (Carola) go...

Keep the lift on. Too much of a hassle to take it off. Not knowing what your truck condition is but with the mileage and being in Bama I'd say"around" $3500. If you have a locker that would add value as well as newer tires. You said you have an AM turbo? Not sure if that adds any value at all, as well as the rear tire mount unless that is part of a rear bumper. I would say at the most, you could get $5500 and it would have to be pretty clean. The almost 300K mileage is a lot for most people.

Look at your local craigslist listing prices and shape your price range based on others.

I always found 4x4 4runners going for premium prices in Bama that is even with 200,000 + miles.

Even 4x2 were above the 3.5k on average for 3rd gens.

I would say if you want the lift and have the time and know how to take it off and use it on the one you are keeping go for it, I don't think that will benefit you much as far as it helping to get more money for you. As far as price, like others have said depends on the overall condition of it, the mileage may not be on your side but I know I would pick one up with that mileage if it was in great condition because most of us aren't using these as an everyday only vehicle in the lot, its more of a toy.

No rear tire mount, a rear mount turbo....I installed a turbocharger and it's mounted at the rear of the vehicle. Thanks.

Yeah, I do all of my own work. That is why I'm on the fence about it. It wouldn't be a big deal to do, I am just curious if putting the Rough Country lift on it will hurt the resale value significantly over leaving the OME. Thanks.

Yes, more of a rhetorical question to prepare you for the expected many who for whatever reason are going to make an offer, and I think around this price range gets difficult in that many don't have the cash, so if someone with close enough cash does show up, you may want to consider that option.
