I'm thinking of selling my 1996 4runner limited so i can get a 2006 4runner sport. any thoughts? my 4 runner limited has 135000 miles on it and everything works good. runs and drives great. stock size tires, with all terrain tires (Hancook) with good tread, well maintained. whats a good asking price? also what are your thoughts on the 2006 sport? all youtube video's i've looked at have not been real world, just car salesmen selling their cars/suvs.

Don't know much about the 2006 but with 135k miles on your 1996 I would crap myself to get a shot at it if I hadn't just bought a truck.

I have a 2005 that my wife drives. V6 but 2WD. That thing is really nice. It hauls ass and rides like a champ. If you can afford one, they are worth the money. But keep in mind parts are more expensive on them, and after paying the higher price for the car, can you afford to mod the thing? I think we can all agree if you can't mod it, why bother!!!

With just 135k miles, it would personally be hard for me to let go of it. However, being a '96 (the first year made for the 3rd gens) it may be lacking what you're ultimately looking for, new looks and new gizmos... Honestly, If you're going to make the jump from a 3rd gen with lower than the average miles to a 4th gen at least get the V8.

i'm open for options if you do know anyone who is looking for one. I'm not sure how many owners my 96 Limited has and the sport has 2 owners.

Ok I'm gonna try and sell my 1996 limited. 135000 miles, 3.4, everything works and drives awesome, I just want something newer. I'm in central jersey if anyone is interested.
