This ends my K&N experience

I had a little time off today so I took a look under my hood!!!, and holly sH@t my air filter was nasty. I took it out and looked at the airbox after the filter, dusty, went further down to the MAF, filthy. The the stealership for a new air filter and Maf, but the maf was almost $200, so noooooo way, on to the hardwhare store, Cleaning and order a new maf online

MAF doesn't look that dirty at the end of the day.

K&N are definitely not the best for filtering out lightweight dust. Can't beat paper for that kind of high efficiency filtering but you have to change them out and ditch them.

The MAF element is smaller, finer, and located deep inside of the MAF unit so you can't see it. That I believe is an air temp sensor or something integrated with the MAF.

Also most wet filters are notorious for this type of MAF fouling.
