Why is the paint ruined? It's covered in dust......last time I checked dust washed off just fine.

I did read that article the other day though. Very odd to have those cars just abandoned.

Some American who was at the auction posted on an auto blog how the sand, blowing in at high winds over the year, had cut into the paint through the clear coat on certain panels. At least they should have put a tarp over it; those scratches from the tarp could have been buffed out.

Really?! What a shame.

Side note: I have heard that Ferrari paint blows too. Kind of hard to believe on such an expensive car.

I read somewhere that there are hundreds of luxury cars and exotics abandoned in Dubai because people go there and work, make a sh1t load of cash. Buy expensive things, then the place they work at goes to h3ll and they are broke and forced then to move. So they leave all there stuff because living there is expensive? Im guessing, the article went something like that. It was a while ago iI read that.
