Yes, but I don't believe they are sending anything out until May, and could take up to July for some people to receive theirs. That's the last I heard anyways...

It's their pathetic attempt to "re-spark" the economy. Sorry to break it to them, but it will take more than $300, $600, or even $1200 to do that. But I'm not going to complain when I get my check. :bigok:

I think the majority of people only qualify for the $600.

And to my knowledge, no, nothing like this has ever happened, but I could be wrong. Maybe something before my time, but I doubt it.

I'm expecting about $1800. Married couple with two kids (600x2, 300x2). All going into a high yield MM fund for the kids. Sigh, so much for that new HD tv I wanted. Maybe next time.

It just shows how desperate they are, especially with the economy going down the tubes in an election year.

I saw a poll the other day, most people say they will use it to pay off debt or just stash it away for when things get worse.

For me, the money I get from the rebate is almost the exact amount I had to send the IRS on 4/15.
