This will eventually become a build thread...

This is the old seal

Made me laugh too! My kinda humor! Great pics and great work! Makes me want to replace mine just in case. Mine are not blown yet but with 256k on my Runner it might not be long before they do. Keep up the good work and pics. Like your interior work a lot to! Radio and CB look good.

thanks man! after parts and labor to press on the new parts the total was about $600. with 256k i'd just check occasionally to make sure everything is okay. i mean hey, they've lasted this long right? but that's just me.

oh, and i used all OEM parts.

got me some T4R.ORG decals. each one gives me about 50 more HP.

Net gain = 100 HP.

since you're here, I want your car when you wreck it or get rid of it.

I need a 4 cylinder 4x4 for donor parts :P

hurry up and wreck it! I call dibs!

i GUESS it's about time i updated this thing...

let's jump back to june... the unthinkable happens! i'm about to get my quesadilla on at la tapatia and while i'm backing into my spot... KUHSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. i ran over a baby!

well not a baby, but a large metal object that should not have been on the ground.

what's a boy to do? i tried to put my spare on but as my luck would have it, the spare was bent! my mother was meeting me to eat, so i snatched her car and drove to NTB to have them put the spare on my rim. my mother sat lonely at the side of the runner, jacked up in the parking lot at la tapatia... i had to leave her! if i had not, some questionables would have took mi troca!

the day only gets better!

NOT.

i thought my then-current tires were puny (235/65/15)... my spare was 225! :jaw drop:

anyway... i rode on that for a few weeks looking for some deals on tires. i might have gotten carried away and searched for rims too... but i'm glad i did! i snagged a set of four FJ rims WITH tires! for $400.

the day they came home:

the day they went on:

that was it for a while... jump ahead to august.

i decided i wanted to get my deck plate on:

i love it. it's definitely more noticeable in the higher RPM's, but when i'm overtaking somebody or driving it like i stole it... it sounds so nice. i can't wait for to do the ISR and hopefully get a cherry bomb. *drool*

then... everything came together. i got the tires i have been wanting since i owned Big Red... BFG All Terrains.

Lookn good :thumb3:. You can trim those pinch welds and probably eliminate that little bit of rubbing you're getting. I ran 285s on stock suspension for a little while with flattened pinch welds which still rubbed when turning onto steeply graded driveways :biggrin2: but wasn't unbearable. I'm sure you have much less than I did, however, I just wanted to throw that out there in case it was something you wanted to tackle.

thanks. yeah i've been wondering what i can trim just to stop it. i'm still telling myself the only way to stop it is to LIFT! HA HA HA!

Hey you commented on my build thread, so I came to check out yours! Looks good! And the thought that comes to mind is : (While I'm listening to NIN) Another T4R member in Houston finally and he likes NIN YAY. I was a minutes away from ordering that sticker too.

NIN is my sh!t. when you order, make sure to get like three. unless you're not like me and clumsy. i couldn't center it for the life of me.

I'll probably just put mine where your apple sticker is, the 12" T4R.ORG sticker is going where your nin sticker is.:thumb3:
