Thought on my suspension choice

I'm going for most cost effective so I was able to piece these togather and the price is 690$ Shipped for everything but wanted some thoughts on the overall quality of lift it will be.

You may want to factor in the cost of the dif drop. Some people get away with not installing one, but since you're on a budget, the drop is cheaper than new CVs!

As for the lift, I've heard good things about the Bilstein setup.

Looks good but if you want to shop/scrounge you can save some big money.

I bought the TRD Tacoma Bilstein shocks/springs (about same lift as your 881s) from the junk yard for $80. I bought some LC coils for $90 and used LC Monroe Gas Magnums at $48 each. That's $270 for a comparable setup. Even with new front shocks (try $120 a pair Rough Country Nitro 9000 from Wheeler's), that's still only $400.

Rough country's are crappy. My shop wont sell them anymore. We just had to replace a set on a j@%$ that had less than 15k on them. Their warranty is crap too.

Thanks for advice guys. There are quite a few junk yards around but not many with newer vehicles. Would be super hard to find a TRD Tundra in a junk yard around. Also had a hard time tracking down LC Wraps otherwise I would love to save money anywhere I can. More for other mods like Roof Rack.

You can save by getting LC/TRD coils. But I would keep the 5100's. I've had 3 different brand shocks on the same coils and none of them have come close to the 5100's.

ive had some procomp es9000s on the rear of my runner for a few years and i have nothing bad to say. theyre like $45 each at 4wheelparts. and you cant go wrong with bilsteins.

Thanks guys, I'm going to be calling around local yards to see if I can track down a TRD tundra for the coils only.
