So how well do these do on slick snow covered streets?
We are running the ST Max in a 255/75/17C...Have about 25k of HARD miles on them so far. MOAB/Ouray/Uwharrie etc. I will DEFINITELY be using this tire again, but will probably get 285/70's next time.
I've got 255/80r17 ST Maxx on the F150, so no rock crawling for me. They've done well though on dirt/gravel roads, light mud, in hub deep snow, over icy mountain passes, and I drove through a couple decent deluges in Oregon this last week with no hydroplaning and no need to check speed. Probably near 2000 highway miles on them just this month and I've got no complaints at all.
WAY better than the Duratracs on the Wiferunner. They're quieter, they're wearing better, less drama in the sketchy stuff, and cheaper too.
I put KO2s on my 4runner and have very mixed feelings about them. They have been great in dry and highway usage as well as gravel road situations, but in the wet, they honestly sketch me out. They are very slick and I am second guessing my purchase. I have Dura-Tracs on my FJ and they have been amazing in all situations, including semi-deep snow. I honestly would not purchase the KO2s again.
That's one of the concerns, is the ride quality is great right now. Is the ride quality really night and day between the Terra grappler on the TRD Pro, compared to the E rating on the Coopers or BFgs? Great info so far, thanks!

Anyone try out the Open Country AT2's?
K, where did you buy your Cooper's, if you don't mind saying.
I'm tire shopping for the 4Runner, but haven't decided what to go with, yet.
