I was going to post a detailing write up that I did for another site in the detailing section, but it stated my thread was too long.

Is there a way to up the thread length to allow my to post this as I think it may be helpful for some users

Thanks

Yes, there is a limit to how much you can post in one post. Sometimes I see Thai post something large, usually a article and he splits it up to two or three posts.

I would suggest you post half of it in the first post and then continue it in another post. If it is too large, split it up in three posts. At the end of the first post let the readers know you are continuing in the next post. In the mean time I will let the administrators know about your problem and see if we can up the size of an individual post.

I just raised the characters per post limit from 10,000 to 15,000. If it's longer then that just break it up into a couple of posts :)

You can only post one picture in each post, but you can make multiple posts in one thread. The picture is limited to 140,000 bytes. Also when you post a picture be sure not to hit preview as it will lose the picture when you submit.

I belong to quite a few forums were you cannot even post a picture, you basically have to use a service that hosts pictures. If you see a post with multiple images, that person is using a hosting service. (I use www.photobucket.com for my pictures in other forums, it is a free service.)
