Figured I would clean the throttle body as I've noticed a little irregular idle as of late so I did the full removal, which includes a coolant line and a couple fasteners.
To start it didn't look very bad until I had it removed saw the back side. I didn't get a picture of it but the rag clearly shows how much crud there was. I literally could have scraped it off with a putty knife it was to thick right behind the butterfly.
Next I checked out inside intake and noticed a dark area in the back. Upon closer inspection I found a puddle of oil hanging out which I wiped up with a clean cloth and a stick. I'm wondering if I should replace my PCV valve or if this is simply due to oil vapor?
I've been reading about installing an oil catch can which from the sounds of it doesn't take much to do... What do you guys think?
