Throttle body sensor adjustment

I need help trying to adjust my TBS correctly. On my 1995 4runner 3.0 auto, I have read some things online and am getting very confused about what is the stop screw?

I have upgraded the screws to aline-screw and Iv tired this before once and i noticed it was very hard to get the volt-meter rods in the tbs with a good reading. So i decided to take the whole throttle body off this time, witch it is %100 easier.

I know the the points, IDL and E2 need to be under 2.3k Ohms, but with the stop screw with a .55m gap between the lever and stop screw. and thats where I am confused. What is the stop screw and lever?

I have photos but my computer on witch one is it. but anyways, is it the one right above the TBS? or on the other side of the throttle body?
1st photo - other side of the TBS
2nd photo - Right above TBS
3rd photo - Shield thing

and just another question what is that shield thing or something? what is behind it?

I have this link to go by http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/TPS/index.shtml
