???Throttle Cable???

I noticed some slack in the throttle cable, so I decided to tighen things up but I can't. No matter how much I try to adjust it on the nut assym. it stays about the same or worse.

Could the cable be that stretched out that it needs to be replaced or am I missing a location to tighen the cable up?

i did that already. Still has about the amount of slack. Also, the gas pedal has 1.5" of play.

ok... Took out about 1" of slack. feels better. Wish I could get the other .5". Prolly to get that I would need to change out the cable.
