Thule rack help

Ive got a '96 sr5, without the factory racks, but the roof has the plastic black skinny coverings, that appear to be covering the mounts for the factory track. I have thule square bars and fairing, and just need new thule feet. any suggestions on what feet to get?

You mean you have the tracks? I guess I'm a little confused. A picture would help a ton.

I attached a photo of the roof. And the plastic cover piece. Hope that helps, I just want to use the bars i have and fairing, and find feet that fit into that area that is covered by those black slits.

Looks like you don't have the oem rack rails, and you have the rail delete filler panels. You best bet is hit up a junk yard and find some oem rails and cross bars, I have my thule moab on mounted on the oem cross bars

so i could still use my thule load bars and fairing if i get the thule feet that attach to the oem rack track???

I really want to use the thule bars cause all the attachments I have are for square bars. (bike rack, snowboard, fairing etc.)

Yes you can still use your load bars if you get the proper feet for the oem stuff. You can also get the feet for Thule that don't use the OEM rack. They are now called Thule Traverse Foot Pack.
On my previous 98 model I purchased the factory roof rack and added my Yakima feet/load bars to it but it cost me as much as a new Yakima set up. Turned out to be worth it for me because when I traded it I kept my Yakima set up and it is now on my 2001 4runner.

You can indeed. Which is a big upgrade in comparison to the factory crossbars. If you get the factory tracks, just get a set of feet and you're good to go. I'm using these:

Well, if you want to go with the Tracker foot pack, you're going to have to get the rails from somewhere. Thule and Yakima make aftermarket solutions. These are what I ordered Thule - TP54 54" Tracks with Flare-Nut fastners

The factory rails are nearly impossible to find because the demand is so high. I live in Denver, where the market is saturated with old 4runner parts, and I came up dry on five attempts. That being said, I get Thule stuff at a severe discount, so it was a no-brainer for me to just get the Thule tracks. I'll post a thread on how it works out. I think they just mount right to the existing mount points, which is nice.

It should look pretty sweet with the MOAB cargo basket.
