Thule Storage

I got this pick off one of the other threads. This is an example of what I was shopping for a few months ago, but me and my wife came to the conclusion these are really geared towards storage for ski equipment or golf clubs. What we are looking for is something that is Thule or Thule quality to be attached to the room, but also some what easily removable for I would like to still park in my garage, that can hold a variety of things. None of these things will be skis or golf clubs. It could be luggage, childrens toys, misc stuff. But other than the cloth ones that don't interest me for I am planning to use this in all weather conditions, I need something durable and can protect what it is holding.

Did you check the Thule or Yakima web sites? There is also a place called Rack Attack (http://www.rackattack.com) that may help.

I have a smaller thule box that i use for camping stuff. I can fit 2 fully packed 5000 cu in backpacks in it along with other extra stuff. As far as easy removal, i don't know if you'll get easy removal with any of the boxes. But i know that thule and yakima have a system that will mount to the factory rack and has quick releases. So rather than just taking the box off easily, you can take the box and load bars off easily. you might want to look into that.

I looked at them all before, and like I said they seem to be designed for campers, skiers, and golfers, and I am none of those. I am a guy that lost all his 4 Runner room to a baby seat (don't get me wrong I love my daughter). As a result I have to compensate. My wife wanted to get one of those Thule bags but I was really hesitant in doing that for I drive in some really nasty weather: rain snow wind, you name it. But someone said to me they own one of those bags and drove in downpours and found everything in the bag was dry.
