hey guys,
i have found these tires on amazon and they look like they are copies of the toyo open country mt's but for like $60 less than the toyos's i have tried to research them but have came up empty handed has anyone on here ran them or knows some body who has i have no problem being a guinea pig for them but if some one has run them and had a bad experience i would like to know. i am just on the hunt for a cheap solution for some good mt's.

Look at the 255/85/16 series, and see if you can afford the Toyo's at that price. It is narrower, but significantly taller.

Toyo's are one of the best, if not the best tire brand out here. The Toyo's are heavy duty and have proven themselves to me and many others out there.

So if you are actually going to wheel these tires stick with a known name brand that uses a superb rubber compound.

i am just on the hunt for a cheap solution for some good mt's.

I don't normally use "cheap" and "things that can kill me when they fail at 70mph" in the same sentence.

LOL yes when it comes to rubber products, don't use the cheapest solution!

The consequences are always pretty severe

my last set of tires was BFG km2s in that size and i was not a huge fan of the "pizza cutters" and right now i am trying to experiment with different tires because the treadwright's i have on now have significantly lasted longer than the KM2's and im seeing if it really is worth it buying "name brand" tires over some brand less known

I was always happy with my TreadWrights too, but now that I can afford real tires that is the way I am leaning. They balance perfectly and wear evenly.

Maybe look at the Falken Rocky Mountain or Wild Peaks

A bunch of people have started running those in my local club and they are very happy with them. Great traction, pretty strong sidewall. Good tread compound. Plus they are CHEAP!

I would like to get some Toyo's, but Discount Tire doesn't carry that brand. In that case, I'm going to go with the Falken Rocky Mountain AT's. I've read good reviews on them, and Millerad has a set he says are pretty sweet. Plus they're not too pricey!

so you have run them? what was your experience with tread ware and reliabily ect. did you have any trouble with airing them down?
