Hello, my name is Connor. I am a new user to this website. I am 16 years old and I am passionate about cars. Especially toyotas. This is my story.

It all started with this car.

It is a 2001 Toyota Sequoia V8 2WD. 168,000 on the clock. Kept in great condition.

We brought this home in 2001. It was our family car for 10 years. Thats when it was passed down to me. On June 18, my 16th birthday, the car was given to me. I loved the car, but sadly it had to go. There wasn't anything wrong with the car, I just needed a smaller vehicle with 4WD. I started looking for a 3rd gen 4Runner. I looked for a couple weeks. Nothing. It seemed like i would be stuck in that big gas guzzler. Then we stumbled across a place called Thoroughbred Motors. They specalize in top of the line vehicles (bmw, mercedes, etc.). They had a really nice 1999 4Runner Desert Dune 4WD 150,000 miles on it. I was ecstatic, I had to have it. We worked out a deal. Even better, the deal was an even trade. The Sequoia for the 4Runner. I drove it home later that day.

150,000 on the odometer :)

The day after i bought it, I decided to go wheeling on one of my dad's real estate properties (commercial). In the tall grass, i didn't see this creek/ditch until I was already in it. I got stuck. :happens:

And another..

So I called up one of my buddies to come pull us out. This is the view from his car.

He rescued me, then i went and cleaned off my car!
I see a lift in my future! :naughty:

Update: I found out this morning that I bent my brushguard wheeling.
It was bent in :sobbing: Sorry, no pics.
I decided to do a quick fix. Using my dads car and some tow straps, I bent it back out.

A little damage, but no biggie.

I also went to the stealership and picked up a cargo cover. Charged $80 for it...

I bought a new air filter and replaced my brake lights, another $30 out of the pocket.

And last but not least my favorite thing so far, Black Ice trees :D

wait 80 bucks for a cargo cover from dealership? is it new? cuz new ones cost about 700

Nope :D It was all scratched up and the guy said it didn't work right! And just to be on track, we are talking about the same thing right? Anyway, The guy who had it before, took his car in for maintenance and got a new one of those, and let the stealership keep his old one.

:welcome: aboard!

Good start. Looks like mine when I first got it.

I know they may look cool but ditch the bumper guard. They do a lot more bad in the long run than good. Good luck with the rest of your build.

Thanks bro! I know, i need to soon. The only problem is that when I got stuck the other day, it kinda screwed up my bumper. So until i can get an hardcore bumper, its staying. Plus it saved my front bumper yesterday.
