Thunk noise when slowing down around 10-15 mph

So I tried the shifter position on "2" with the OD on then off as Charlie stated and no clunk at all
Also tried on "D" position with the OD off and no clunk at all as well, What does this mean exactly??

Sounds like the 4-3 downshift then... Though I don't know what internally in the trans would make that noise.

How's the trans fluid level (check after a 10+ mile drive, still idling in Park on a level surface)? Is it still bright red?

Ran the 10 miles checked the Red fluid. Tranny fluid is still bright red to my liking, was thinking the computer might be off and is having the transmission shift sooner then should? Maby it needs a flash reset at the dealer? Or can it be one of the 3 transmission sensors being part faulty?

I got the same exact problem at forwardrunner:

- 2000 4x4 suspension lifted3"
- 4th to 3rd gear downshifting clunk when coasting
- greasing the driveshaft helps reduce but not eliminate
- when turning the OD off during coasting, there is no clunk

What could it be? It did not happen before the truck is lifted, as far as I can remember.
