When replacing my lower ball joints this afternoon, i managed to wreck my passenger side outer tie rod. Further, when I disconnected my otre from the lbj, i found that it doesn't hold itself up. Drivers side is fine.
Should I just replace the otre on the passenger side, and leave the inner alone? Or should I replace both inner and outers on both sides? I'd prefer not to replace unnecessary parts... But I have read that if you do inners on one side, you should do the other. Does the fact that my inner does not hold itself up mean its no good/won't align properly? I rarely ever take it off road, but it is my daily driver and I would like reliability on long trip.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
