Damn, I just replaced outers on our 2014 at 270K miles back around Thanksgiving.

Are those inner tie rods a wear item?

Only a wear item when you wheel the vehicle hard. First time I broke one with out a spare was the last time. Until I went SAS, ever since I carried these 3 parts as spares for myself and whomever else might need them.

Someone should pick them up. They take very little room. I keep my trail spares under the rear seat. Does not get any easier than that.
