Snow is falling and it's time for a new clutch! I smoked it at Vail pass last season, towing my sleds. Drove down the frontage road to find a parking spot and a snowcat blocked my path. Had to reverse out (with trailer in tow) about 1/3 mile. Yuck!
That operation sacrificed what was left of my clutch. It's still hanging on by a thread, but with 140k on the clock, I figured it'd be best to do it before the season gets underway.
I would attempt this myself, but in all honesty, I don't feel comfortable doing it on my own because I've never done one and I dont' think I have all the tools I'd need to complete it properly. If any fellow 3rd gen owners in the area have done it before and want to help me do it, I will provide good eats, plenty of beer and maybe we'll even head up to jones pass for some sled time later this season!
If not, maybe someone could reccomend a reputable, reasonable mechanic in the denver area that wouldn't mind installing a marlin crawler 1200lb kit, that'd be great!!
