Time for an allignment?

about 15 months ago i got an alignment after lifting my 4runner 3 inches...i experience very loose steering...should i get a realignment? and how often should i get one done?

I'm not sure if an alignment would help loose steering. What have other lifters done?

Loose steering is not good, check your PS fluid and if its low; you may need a new rack and pinion.

Its not like uncontrollably loose..but it happened the second i lifted my truck. actually might have been when i put on larger tires..

it may need a caster adjmt. it is common for the caster to be off after a lift. you should be able to get it close to spec, otherwise you may want to look at aftermarket upper control arms
