What's the difference between the 3rd one and the 5th one?

Pretty sure the front diff,tranny and torsen center diff on the 5th Limited's are the same as the 4th Gen V8's.The rear diff was updated to the 8.4.

Correct, The 5th Limiteds have the VF4BM drivetrain with Torsen don't have "low unlocked", just "low locked"

What would you use "low unlocked" for? He mentioned towing?

For me, It's just kind of a luxury. Not anything anyone really needs but easy to miss if you've gotten used to having it. The Torsen center + ATRAC make the vehicle very capable even without the center locked making tight turns a breeze in any traction condition. If I had to speculate on the reason for it's absence I could only guess that someone decided some internal stresses had the potential to get too high under certain, extreme low range conditions. I sometimes wonder about that but if the terrain is really steep, I lock the diff anyway.
