Massive spamming is a unfortunately fact of life.
Get over it.
That goes for "newbies" and "senior" members.
One of the other sites I moderate on is Toyota Nation, waay bigger than this site, but they get slammed too. But paid admins are able to shield the members from seeing it.
Now if you want to start paying to use this site, then maybe something can be worked out.

The best thing we can do to eliminate it is report at first sight, it will be deleted. It's never there permanently.

Its some sort of bot, creating posts. On YT, we have software to stop this sort of thing but nothing is infallible. Spammers are smarter every day, and get by even the best of filters. I usually have to ban 2-3 "members" (see: Spammers) a week, not to mention what the other mods do.

totally uncalled for.
you're taking this personally. but, i dont see where anyone called you out, or any of the mods for that matter. none of this is YOUR fault.
this is something the admins here can deal with.
im a mod, and a paying member on another site, we still see spam. but not NEARLY as much as on this site.
i stopped coming here for about a year because it was so bad. when im searching for new posts, and i have to filter through multiple pages of spam just to see a few threads? thats ridiculous, and avoidable.

i see all sides here, yes there is a lot of spaming and bots that are on this site, idk why the internet gods hate 4runner, but they do. honestly its really frustrating, and it has caused me to take hiatuses in the past(im sure a lot of you were happy about this...). i dont know much about code wrighting and moding and programing ect or what ever it is that goes on in the backgrounds of forums/boards, but i can say that i appreciate all that the mods do here (even if it is to reprimand me sometimes) its a thankless job for the most part. we can all do our part by simply keeping up with the reporting as we see it, i have been doing my best to jump on the bots and spam when i see it, cause i dont like the hours of "server is too busy" crap that occasionally pops up when i refresh. along with that, mods please dont take this thread personally, i dont think anyone on here is attacking you personally or the mods in general. you taking that personally is almost going against what you guys are about, i mean isnt one of your jobs to stop fights? -not start them(or even feed into them) im not saying that you guys have, and i guess what i just said could come across like that. but what im trying to say here(and we could all do good by heeding this -i included) is, thick skin folks, thick skin. just cause someone says something or does something here doesnt mean "we" need to feed into it or drop down to their level and engage. i know this is easier said than done. -im just as guilty as anyone here and probably more so than anyone. i recently noticed some things said about me, comments directed at me, in the 3rd gen section that i wanted to lash out about, but i went the more adult way and just PMd the individual and asked whats up why all the negativity and called them out in private... now idk maybe most of you already do this and if so them ignore me. basically what im trying to say here is, ITS THE INTERNET people! its not the end of the world, and fighting on the internet is like winning in the special olympics, who cares if you win, your still re-tarded. that goes for everyone mods and nomods, senior and junior members alike. i know its just text and its hard to tell inflections and tones of voice or body language and so sometimes sarcasm gets lost or misinterpreted. but one thing i do like about this forum over most of the others i have been on is the sense of family, 99% of the time everyone is respectful and an adult, even if disagreements happen most everyone is an adult about it, i have gotten into it with a couple mods, called a couple out on some stuff and luckily i have not been banned -although i was respectful about it, and did not make it personal or unprofessional. -i know i have kinda taken this thread in a different direction here with this, and sorry. here sense im heading off on my own ill just throw this in while im out in left field...

Yeah, I noticed the same thing and it went AWOL the day of the last big spam attack. Maybe got deleted by accident?
