timing belt - interference engine?

Hi - can anyone verify if the 5VZ-FE engine in a '98 4Runner is an "interference" type or not? I recently purchased one, and would like to change the timing belt sooner rather than later, and not take any chances by driving it until having done so. However, I've been told that the engine is a non-interference type, and therefore will not suffer piston and/or valve damage should the timing belt break during operation. Is that true?
Thanks!

It may be a non interference motor but when it breaks, it will still leave you stranded on the side of the highway at the most importune time.:gun6:
