If anyone wants to join me camping Friday night near Blairsville, GA, you're more than welcome to. Going to do a 8-10 mi hike early Sat morning before heading down to Atlanta.

Thinking about coming. Just bought my first Toyota/4runner and would like to come out and see some others to get ideas on what I can do to mine. Is this open to anyone?

The BBQ was a success! Thanks to everyone that turned up and hung out for a while. It was awesome to meet some local folks and some forum friends that I hadn't met in person.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Tim [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] to Georgia and make some new friends.

Also thanks to everyone that efficiently helped me take out my headliner so I can tear into some interior projects over the next few days :)

I am consistently amazed by the friendly and generous spirit that I encounter in the 4Runner community. The trucks themselves are so fun to mod and wrench on but the people bring so much positive energy. This is what keeps the fun alive and I'm honored to remain a part of it all.

We should have timed it. Didn't think a headliner could be pulled so fast. Don't think any clips were broken either which was shocking.

Thanks again for opening up your crib to host us toyota savages & to [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] for making his fancy burgers. Was a fun weekend.

Amazingly, Timmy and I got the headliner back in today!
 
It was a fun day. [MENTION=116877]fourfive[/MENTION], [MENTION=148218]JZiggy[/MENTION] and I started the day with filming a job on fourfive's rig. The door lock actuator motor for his rear hatch was wearing out and didn't always open, especially when there was direct sunlight on the hatch which is the same thing that can happen with the driver and passenger doors. We were successful with the repair and did it for a very small investment, which was the cost of one small RC motor, maybe $5. That video will be coming out soon.

Only about half of the people who signed up for the party showed up. The weather wasn't the greatest so that's probably what scared most of the people away. But, the people who did show up were great people and it was an enjoyable party, especially since I wasn't stuck cooking and running around like I do at the parties at my place.

I appreciate Jordan hosting a Timmy the Toolman party at his home. I like Georgia and I'll be back for future visits.

Thanks for hosting J - this was a ton of fun. Great to meet everyone and see everyone’s admittedly much cooler rigs! Lots of inspiration for my stock ‘02.
 
Sorry I couldn't/didn't make it. I had other plans with family that evening, and me being 30 miles NW of ATL with the quite often horrendous traffic, even on weekends, kept me from going. It would have been cool to meet some folks and see some kewl rigs.

I wouldn't have had anything to show off except my completely stock (except for Yakima roof rack) '99 with 211k that happens to look and run extremely nice for her age and miles. My '99 name Jolene has lot of cool stories to tell from the 15 years I have owned her. I think I love Jolene more than my wife. :bounce:


WAIT!!! - I could have shown off my new phone/GPS mount from Spiker Engineering (on this forum). (I really am very glad to have gotten one).
