Hey Dudes, we had to cancel our last Timmy the Toolman Subscriber Appreciation Party because I got injured in a mountain bike crash, but I'm back in the saddle again so we rescheduled the party. I hope some of you can make it.

I've been wanting to make it to one of these for awhile now and my schedule has never worked out. This year I think it will! Thank you for what you've done for this community.

I am considering a Holy Grail 3rd Gen 2000, rear locker 4.30:1 gears. Your vids are super helpful and informative. Where are you located, I am in Arizona between Phoenix/Surprise and Prescott, great Mtn biking out here too! Tom

Glad you were not seriously hurt one of my crashes was on a MS150 bike ride going 19 to 20 mph when I nicked the front tire on the person in front of me and lost control. Luckily I didn't bust anything and finished the ride. I hung my bikes up when beforemy daughter was born fall of 2013 was my last ride. From Washington D. C to Pittsburgh in 5 days. Good times.

I seen some nasty crashes over the years and really glad I give it up. The only side effect of not riding is there is a lot more of me then their used to be. :(

Glad you able to do your picnic now. :-)

Holy crap, I never knew you were Timmy the toolman! I've seen many of your posts on the forum and obviously tons of your videos but never made the connection. Super cool. Thanks for the great vids and hope you recover well!

San Jose, California. I've done some mtn biking in Arizona. I've ridden in Flagstaff, Sedona, rode the Rainbow Rim trail on the North rim of the Grand Canyon, and rode a little on the Arizona trail.

Thanks Jon. Biking is part of me. I've been doing it for over 35 years. It's hard to give up.

I want to kill my phones auto correct. :(

I gave it up because I was the income earner for my wife and I. I didn't want to get imperiously hurt and have others depending on me.

I am glad you can still do it. I modified my Cannondale Super v with road cranks to ride the back roads and trails.

You keep on rockin the bike as long as you can.. ::guitar3:
 
Still have my Klein hard tails made in Washington. Had my favorite one, the Attitude with the Storm paint job, stolen though some year ago. Also still have a couple of Litespeeds and an Ibis Ti Mojo.

Won’t be able to make it. Take some good pics. Saving the spare change to buy another 3rd gen that needs some serious love from some dork who figured out rather quickly last year it isn’t a gas miser.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt. I used to race XC and was on a first name basis with the emergency room docs in 3 counties at one point in my career.

You're more than welcome to bring your rusty shitboxes. Just don't expect me to work on it during the party because all the swearing and throwing shit might scare some of the guests.

We appreciate that. It's truly a shame what alot of the northern states do to keep the roads wet and clear in the winter.

Surprisingly though we already have most of the bolts and fasteners have all been removed and antiseized so they move freely.

We even maintenence them. :)

Maybe some day a group of us will take a trip out to visit your area. I just know it's not going to be this year because all randybodady does is work.. lol. I been telling him for years weekends are for wrenching on 3rd gens and junk yard runs. However, he won't listen to me.

Tim, would you do a Zoom meeting to get all others in the US and across the world to join? We could do something like 4wd247 beers in the shed... may be?
 
Heck yeah - I have a bike race that AM but will be there PM as long as my tranny still shifts!! (it's in Hospice but still kicking). Super stoked

I wish mine still did lol.

I'm really glad I was able to make it last year as now it's the "Jerod's Series of Unfortunate Events" show in my life that once again keeps me from being able to attend. By the 10th I hope to have a *not so shiny* transmission being dropped off at my house if all goes to plan.

Hey! What if I show up at your place Tim and have the dudes swap my transmissions while I drink a beer or two? I might as well have them swap out the diffs and fix my transfer case leak while they are at it.

Also, I'm posting here to bump this back up to the front page.

The offer stands if you need help and I'm available on your planned day to do the work.

We've done jobs at parties like the Tundra Brake Upgrade and an impromptu Rear Axle Seal job when some young kid showed up with a blown up rear axle bearing because he ignored his seal leak for too long.

I love throwing these parties, but because I'm the main host, I find myself stuck at the grill and running around doing other things and I miss out on getting to talk to more people. I remember at the last party I said hi to you and that was it I think. I'm hoping I'll be able to hang out more and get to know some of the people that show up.
