My buddy had a blazer with "limo" tint all the way around. It looked really good but when the cops used the radar thing to see how dark it was(we don't have inspections in SC) it read a -2.4%, and that my friend is too dark. You caouldnt see anything out of it at night. Hope that helps with your decision.
But on your runner I would atleast do a little tint (30%) on the fronts to make it flow a little better. I have 27% on my fronts and can see just fine out of them at night but not many people can see in them.

Are you asking about the windshield or the front windows?

If your front windows aren't tinted I would definitely do those.

sorry limo tint on all windows but the front window and sun roof might help with current picture this is how it sits now

I thought you were talking about the two front door windows. I wouldn't touch the windshield unless you do a small strip at the top. Doing the entire windshield is illegal in most places.

It looks good the way it sits. Personally I wouldn't mess with it.

It's a tough call. It's definitely illegal in all states and in most states it can be hard to find someone to do it.

I have mine done in 45%. I think it really helps during the day and doesn't affect me at night. It took me a little while to get used to, but I really enjoy it.

I got pulled over the other day, after having it for close to two years, but luckily didn't have to take it off.

I think it would definitely be too dark for some people though. If you do get it you run the risk of not liking it or being pulled over for it.

You just have to decide how much it's worth to you.

I've got all my windows tinted to 20% and the entire front windshield tinted 30%. Yeah it's illegal, but in the 4yrs I've had the windshield tinted, not once have I ever been pulled over for it (and when I have been pulled over for other reasons, still never a word said about any of my tint).

Did have a buddy once with a 4dr F-150 and he had all his windows tinted 20% including the entire windshield. Ha, he got a ticket within just 2wks of having it installed.

Granted, your side windows are much darker than mine, so that in itself may draw extra attention towards a tinted windshield in your case. Still though, I'm always gonna be that guy that votes you tint the entire front windshield. I just think the overall appearance of any vehicle looks much better when every single piece of glass is tinted. The tint just seems to flow better that way.

rock how is it at night is the big thing my limo all the way around cant see much so would like tint on the windshield but not to drive blind if you know what I mean

Being that my entire windshield is only 30%, I was used to it by the next day. Most ppl who ride in my 4Runner for the first time, don't even realize right off that my windshield is even tinted b/c it's so subtle.

If you're comfortable driving at night with 5% on every other piece of glass, you won't even notice 30% tint on the windshield from inside the vehicle. It would only be noticeable from the outside.

Personally, I wouldn't go darker that 27% on the windshield...
