the guy that did mine told me he mixed in a good amount of clear coat so you could still see my lights. I'm doing my grille next!

Anyone ever tint their tail lights? I can get them tinted for 65$. I know it's illegal anyone done it?

Don't complain here, when you get pulled over all the time. Nothing sucks worse than having a few drinks, then getting stopped because you just have to have tinted taillights.

I would advise against it.

You want to make it harder for people to see you brake? So when the sun is in the wrong direction it's easier for you to be rear ended? And if tinted, it should be considered your fault?

Awesome idea.
It will be your fault! I have a friend who is an Attorney and has won cases involving folks with tinted tail lights....So for your safety and other reasons, please dont do it. Just sayin.

I'll be just fine guys thanks! Have had cops behind me a few times during day and 1am. They're very bright still I'm pretty sure the law in MD is 1,000 feet I pass that with flying colors

Lol what? [emoji23] I would advise against having a few drinks and driving anyways? **** the tinted tail lights, that probably won't even be the reason you get pulled over anyways, it'll be for your swerving ass

If you look at the same lights on Amazon some of the reviews say the same thing not being a direct fit and not being as dark as they appear in the pics

riceandpho they look really good but I would just take them apart and paint myself if that were the case. Zadams31 how's your lights holding up?

Holding up very well!! Went through automatic car wash to see how they did and did just fine. Very easy to see at night. Found out my 07 4Runner already had LED lights in it so they're very bright.

Yeah, I love the LED tails, so you would have to really opaquely plaster these things to block that light. Yours just look so dark though but I feel like that's certain lighting conditions. Have u tried driving in the sunset (where the sun is direct hit blinding you) and the ppl behind u? After I get off work it's always those conditions here where I'm at so that's the only thing I'm afraid of

I will give that a shot and see! Midday with sun behind me you can still see them light up just fine. They look dark in the pics but in person you can still see the red in the light and white in reverse lights so there not too dark.
