Tinting my 06 4Runner

I'm deciding to tint my 4Runner tomorrow and I was wondering if 20% for the front and 35% for all the other windows will match. I know its legal to have 20% in my state. I heard that the back windows do not block heat so I want all the windows to be tinted and I was wondering is there a film on the fronts that needs to be removed before tinting them? If anyone has tinted their 4runner with 20% on the front and 35% for the rest can you post a pic?

Not sure why you would go darker on the front than the rear.

I have 5% on my rear windows and they are pretty much black. My fronts are at 35% and they are way too light for my liking.

Well the windows already have some factory "tint" which is just darker glass front 70% and backs are at ~25%. It blocks light but not the UV-A or UV-B which is the main heat components. Remember that you multiply the two percentages to get the end tint percentage. I went with 35 in the front which put me at ~24.5 and the back I got at 60% which put me at 15%. Which I found to be perfect. Not SUPER dark but dark enough to get the job done. Ultimately its your decision. Just my .02

My back window has factory tint as in the tint is in the glass and it provides little to no protection against uv and doesn't block heat. The tint is already alittle dark and I just wanted to know if 20% on the fronts and 35% over the factory tint on the back will match

It blocks light but not the UV-A or UV-B which is the main heat components.

Actually auto windows without any tint - blocks MOST UV light. The Windshield blocks 100 UV-A and 90% UV-B. The side windows without tint will block 65% UV-A and UV-B...some manufacturers even block as well as windshields do.

In OK that is fine but of you pop on into TX, Police may make you remove it! I had 20% on wifes SUV and had to remove in order to get inspected. That is on front windows.

Here in NH we're not allowed any tint in the front side windows or the windshield. I understand the want/need for it in southern states.

I have this set up on mine. 20% on the front two with a 20% strip at the top of my front windshield and 35% on everything else.

The rear windows are slightly darker, not by much, but just a little. I debated on what I wanted to do at the beginning and I have no regrets going this route. No issues with seeing at night or anything. Let me find a pic.

I did 20% all around and with the factory security glass, it was about 15% or so in the rear. I opted for the sunroof and the windshield strip as well.

I dropped mine off and left but as far as I know, no there isn't any film that needs to be taken off.

Well I got my 4runner Tinted and I love it! Got 5% for the windshield visor, 20% for the fronts and 35% for the rear. Now I got to wait a week so I can start rolling down my windows.
