And like mentioned, the one you linked, you'll need to call them on because you will be sending in your non-elocker 3rd member.

I saw that....at that price I'd way rather wait on a wrecked 8.2...or even skip it! I could do a rear Harrop/regear and regear the front for $800 less than that price! Or even go triple locked ARB for +$200 less!

I wonder how much money on top...

Their assmbled 8" elocker housings shoulda just bolt up no?

An 8" housing will bolt up, the 8" 3rd member w/ elocker will require you to notch your housing and I think add a stud or something like that.

All depends on what tire size you run and how hard you wheel.

Ah, I had assumed the assembled 8" elocker ones would just bolt right up - not a whole lotta info on people bolting those up I guess. I'll have to dig some more.

"34s" right now, possibly "35s" later. Moderate wheeling - would likely go harder if I had a rear locker doe hahaha.

The elocker motor itself? Probably not.

The 3rd member might have a different style driveshaft flange for the 2WD. This is true for 4Runners at least.

The 4Runners have a different driveshaft flange between 2wd/4wd but the 4wd driveshaft still bolts up. The thicker 2wd harmonic flange is thick enough the 4wd bolts thread into the flange itself instead of using nuts on the backside.

I never realized that there was a Toyota rear E-Locker that would work with my V8 4Runner, this is perfect! I would love to fit one into my rig over the air locker.

It's not easy to find (thus the thread) and requires some grinding to get it in. But it is a good option.

Supposedly at SEMA last year Eaton announced their own e-locker release for the Toyota, which might be more cost effective than Harrop.

I have been there in person, id steer clear unless you are in DESPERATE need of parts. They like to overprice their items.

Good to know, I always see there ads on craigslist so figured they have a pretty big inventory. Yotamasters has a used elocker motor for 250 if anyone is on the hunt. I've bought through them numerous times and they are super helpful.

First page of this thread, 2010+ FJ Cruisers and 2010+ 4Runners have the 8.2.

Not all 4Runners have the elocker, most FJ's do.

All 2010+ 4runners have our 3.73 gear ratio, manual FJ's have a different ratio I think.
